Professional Experience 

Ilayda has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Yeditepe University. She discovered her enthusiasm for organization and management while working as an Assistant to the Dean and later while managing an R&D department in her former position. She was responsible for creating, conceiving, and proposing collaborative projects with international and domestic academics, business, and government partners and holding bi-weekly, weekly and monthly coordination and status updates for over a dozen projects. She investigated potential funding partners in conjunction with market research and competitive intelligence for potential products. She assessed the inventory for testing projects, in addition to preparing for and passing an audit.

Role in Manay CPA

Ilayda is the Executive Assistant to Bree Manay at Manay CPA. She is providing administrative support for the Executive Leadership Team by managing daily and weekly activities. Ilayda also provides support to the accounting, human resources, and marketing departments as necessary. She assists in the development and implementation of firm procedures and manages business calendars and meetings, coordinates travel and logistics, perform administrative functions, supports the preparation of all the necessary documents, and maintains client information on CRM. Ilayda is very passionate about giving all the necessary support to the Manay CPA team and is very happy to be a member of this amazing team.

Personal Interests

Ilayda has always been interested in different cultures, especially dance, travel, and interactions. She has been to four different continents for work and pleasure and is a member of a multinational dance group. Furthermore, Ilayda enjoys painting and handcrafting. She also loves spending time with her family, friends, and two lovely cats.
