Do I need to meet in person, or can everything be handled remotely?

Both work. Clients across all 50 states work with us entirely remotely through secure document exchange and video meetings. Atlanta-area clients who prefer face-to-face meetings can schedule them at the Cumberland office. The service and the assigned team are the same either way.

What's the difference between a CPA and a tax preparer?

Any paid preparer can file a return, but a CPA is licensed by a state board, completes continuing education requirements, and is bound by professional standards.
