Sanem Aytas

Professional Experience

After a formative high school exchange in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, Sanem’s educational journey continued with an undergraduate degree in Public Administration at Gazi University, Ankara, followed bytwo Masters degrees – a Masters in Management Sciences at Gazi and a Masters of Accountancy at the University of Denver, USA.

Sanem began her career in accounting and finance at Ziraat Bank’s banking school which includes a one year training program. After serving in several branches within Turkey as a financial analyst, she moved to Greece following the opening of Ziraat’s Greek operations in Athens and Rhodes. Her responsibilities at Ziraat Bank Greece included financial reporting and cross-functional management. Sanem has also interned at Mile High United Way’s finance and accounting department in Denver where she was responsible for managing payables and receivables accounts. For the last five years of her career, she worked at the Foreign Trade department of Ziraat Bank as a Documentary Credit Specialist certified by the London Institute of Banking & Finance.

Role in Manay CPA

Sanem’s prior international experience and education related to banking, finance and accounting makes her uniquely qualified for understanding the different needs of Manay CPA’s clients in areas of reporting, taxes and finances as per the US GAAP. Sanem is excited to become a part of the team and expand her scope of experiences in Manay CPA’s great work environment.

Personal Interests

Sanem loves spending time traveling and learning about different cultures. She has been to twenty six countries so far and has friends from even more. She enjoys trying different cuisines and cooking. She is also a sailing enthusiast as part of the Rhodes Yachting Club and has a sailing license.
