Omer Gorgun holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from South Carolina State University. He later completed master’s degrees in Business Analytics and Data Science at Lewis University, where he developed advanced technical skills in SQL, Power BI, R, Python, machine learning, and data-driven decision making. He has gained hands-on experience across accounting, finance, statistics, and operations through roles in both corporate and international environments. He worked as a Financial Analyst Intern at BRN Sleep Products, supporting invoice processing, financial data organization, and reconciliations within a multicultural business setting. In addition, he has served in both Research Assistant and Graduate Assistant roles, contributing to data analysis, visualization, structured reporting, and analytical research tasks.
Role in Manay CPA
At Manay CPA, Omer works as a Jr. Associate, supporting accounting and business operations through accurate data handling and analysis. His responsibilities include structuring and validating financial datasets, performing reconciliation analyses to identify discrepancies, and supporting the development of financial reports. He also assists with new business formation processes, ensuring that financial and operational documentation is structured correctly from the start. He contributes to efficient workflow processes, clear reporting, and reliable financial support for both internal teams and clients. He appreciates the warm atmosphere and the supportive environment the team provides.
In Daily Life
Outside of work, Omer remains active by playing tennis, padel, and pickleball, and he regularly follows sports through highlights and matches. He maintains a strong interest in financial technology, is committed to learning new languages such as Spanish, and enjoys exploring a variety of cuisines, particularly Mediterranean and Mexican.
